For a design with words, check readability at card size and make sure the cutout does not interrupt the message. A simple illustration often works better than a long greeting.

Personalize it with a photo

A pet portrait, family picture or meaningful winter landscape can make the design personal. Start with a sharp original file and leave space around faces so you can adjust the crop. Avoid uploading payment-card details.

Confirm the recipient’s card format

Card Skins fit standard CR80 cards, approximately 3.375 × 2.125 inches (85.6 × 54 mm). The current chip choices are Small Chip and No Chip. Compare the cutout with your actual card before ordering; an unusual chip position or oversized contact pad needs a fit check. The skin covers the front only.

Choose Full Cover for the largest artwork area, Full Cover w/ Window when the number row aligns with the window, or Half Cover to leave the lower part of the card uncovered. Check where your number, name and expiry date sit; layouts vary between issuers.

If you cannot confirm their chip position or preferred cover, gifting an unapplied skin may still leave them with the wrong fit. A personal note or a decorated gift holder is a better alternative when the card format is unknown.

Plan for preparation and shipping

Check current shipping information and the estimate for your order. Allow time for both preparation and transit, especially around busy holiday periods. This article does not promise a Christmas arrival date or a universal order-by cutoff.
