Four ideas that suit card-size artwork

• A single cream star against deep navy.
• Wide red and cream stripes with a quiet navy area.
• A bold fireworks burst with a few large shapes.
• An abstract ribbon in red, ivory and blue.

Use contrast and spacing to make the composition clear. Avoid tiny stars packed into every available gap. Keep the focal detail away from the chip opening.

Make the design personal without implying endorsement

Use original decorative artwork you own or have permission to reproduce. Avoid presenting a custom skin as an official government, military or campaign credential. You do not need an official seal to create a recognizable red-white-and-blue palette.

If adding a year or short phrase, use the editable text controls so you can check spelling and placement.

Match the composition to the cover

Choose Full Cover for the largest artwork area, Full Cover w/ Window when the number row aligns with the window, or Half Cover to leave the lower part of the card uncovered. Check where your number, name and expiry date sit; layouts vary between issuers.

A simple star or stripe design can work well in Half Cover. A fireworks scene may benefit from Full Cover. Compare cover styles before settling the layout.

Order for the design, not an assumed event deadline

Card Skins fit standard CR80 cards, approximately 3.375 × 2.125 inches (85.6 × 54 mm). The current chip choices are Small Chip and No Chip. Compare the cutout with your actual card before ordering; an unusual chip position or oversized contact pad needs a fit check. The skin covers the front only.
